Mccain's Disdain for Obama Proves He Can't Lead

It was like waiting for a Bears playoff game to start, the feeling I had waiting for the Presidential debate to start. I was rushing home from work to get there just as Mccain and Obama were taking the stage. I and over 50 million people were glued to the set to see how their respective candidates would separate themselves from the other. The main thing I wanted to observe was each candidate's posture and control.

As each man were given the rules and the agenda I could not wait for this milestone to get underway. Going in I had expectations of Mccain being confident with foreign affairs and him giving Obama all he could handle. But of course, the current economic conjuncture that we have would take up a portion of the evening's bullet points.

As I watched the two, I saw Barack Obama being very cool and collect and John Mccain seeming to become slightly exasperated during the first round. He never once made eye contact and barely turned his torso towards the latitude of Obama. As things heated up going into foreign policy, Mccain's body language read as if he was holding back strong words he would have loved to release. Looking down and smirking, speaking under his breath whenever Obama had a rebuttal to what Mccain just stated. I noticed that he never called Barack by his first name, while Obama constantly made it comfortable by saying "John" whenever he was speaking to him and turning towards him before giving rebuttals. Mccain instead used the impersonal "Senator Obama" and always spoke directly to Jim Leher instead acknowledging his opponent.

What about Obama does John Mccain hate so much? His youth. His charismatic personality. His poise. His passion, what?

I think Mccain has such disdain for Barack because in his world Obama would be but an afterthought by now. His privileged background given to him by his birthright. His hero's welcome after his years of military service. His stroke of luck by meeting a young heiress in a bar while he was comptiplating his marriage with his wife Carol after she suffered her own crippling ordeal during his captivity, due to an automobile accident. His easy transition into politics thanks to his honorable service in the military.

His thoughts, what in the world is this young Black kid from humble beginnings still doing here? Why is he climbing in the polls? Why aren't the lies I have been spreading working? Why is America behind him and not me?

The answer "John" is that he is genuine and believable. We know when Obama as President sits down with a country like Russia or North Korea he will give them eye contact and respect. He will not let his arrogance and pride take over his better judgement. He will not choose to ally himself with a person who is unqualified for the job just for political gain even though he knows it would help him in his quest. We knowObama will not lead this country on a journey of self indulging conquests to beat every enemy into submission while allowing Untied States to fall into a downward spiral that is simply,  John Mccain's ego.

Why Couldn't Palin Give a Rebuttal to the Debates?

This has become truly sad. They now don't even trust her or have the confidence that she won't screw up in front of the nation, that they have to have Rudy Gulliani take over.  It was said by NBC that she declined to take the rebuttal seat. Why would a person running for Vice president decline to support her running mate in a crucial time for their campaign? They have been falling behind in polls as of late, Mccain caused more problems for the bailout meetings than he helped, and most importantly people have questioned his pick with Sarah Palin. In that respect, why would Sarah Palin not take center stage and show the world she is competent to lead?

The answer is she's not. Her own campaign team who is closer to her than anyone else right now did not want her in front of the camera to make a spectacle of herself. With that being said I will say once again why are so many Americans blind to her ineptness and Mccains selfish greed to become President. He claims to put "Country First" but if that were true then why would he not step up and remove her from the ticket and make sure an insult of a Vice President would not continue to embarrass the United States to the world. Because his pride and stubbornness to not look like he made a mistake are more important than this great country. What happens if he is President and refuses to do what is right because he know what he did was wrong?

Barack, It's Okay to Kick His Ass

Watching the debates tonight, I have to say I was disappointed in Barack Obama. I will tell you why. First off, he called for this debate to go on and yet he seemed more defensive and less offensive than he should have been. There are millions upon millions of issues and lies that Mccain has perpetrated since running for office and over the years of being senator that he should have pounced on. Rather than attack, Barack acted like the football team that was up three points with two minutes left in the game and all he had to do was run out the clock. When in reality it was only the second quarter and you allowed mccain to get the ball back.

Don't get me wrong Obama scored style points and hammered home solid issues, but this was his chance to take total control of the campaign. Foreign policy is Mccain's strong point and for you to be able to stay with him is a great thing, but in the future you have to attack and be as stern and decisive as possible. When the polls show you up by four or five points, that means it's tied in my eyes. We have seen election rigged and elections stolen. Show the American people how many military and economic mistakes this admistration has made and drive those mistakes into the minds of viewers to where it's embedded.

There are a whole populous of people who know Obama is the right choice for President, and I am one of them, but that is not the audience that he needed to convince tonight.

The next debate, it's okay be loose not stiff. Wear the boxers not the briefs. keep the Bianca breathe fresher in the side pocket. Get your shoes shined the day of.  Get the fresh lined haircut right before you go on. Most importantly spend a little quality time with the wife to relieve some stress.

You know how the little old lady in the elevator clutches her purse when the big black man steps in.........Make em' feel like that.

Palin Problem: She's Out of Her League

Great article from Kathleen Parker who is a conservative writer and an early Palin fan now see's her as the entire Democratic party had in the beginning that she is unqualified. Great article please check this article out.

Biden Looking forward to debate with Palin.......Saaaarah! Come out and Plaaaeey

You can bet over the next coming days that the Mccain camp is going to do politics 101 with Sarah Mccain to get her ready for her debate with Senator Biden. If they don't he is going to eat her alive. This is where I will look past this tough talk and insults (which is basically all it is talk) and see if she is qualified to run more than a small town or the third smallest state in the U.S.

(AP)Biden said she delivered a great speech to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., but "her silence on the issues was deafening.

"She didn't mention a word about health care, a word about the environment, a word about the middle class. They never parted her lips ... so I don't know where she is on those things."

GET READY SARAH

John Mccain Will Attend Debates!!

WASHINGTON (CNN ) -- Republican presidential nominee John McCain is going to Mississippi to participate in Friday night's debate with his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, McCain campaign staff said.

McCain said earlier this week he would not attend the debate if an agreement had not been reached on a $700 billion bailout plan for Wall Street.

The outcome was up in the air Friday as lawmakers scrambled to agree on a plan.
But by midday, McCain's campaign said the Republican presidential nominee believed enough progress had been made for him to travel to Mississippi to participate in the debate, set for 9 p.m. ET at the University of Mississippi campus.

The great fearless "Maverick" will attend the debates. Washington will have to make due without the strong economic mind of John Mccain. Not sure how anything will be accomplshed without him. We will all be at ease once he returns to save the day.

Did Palin Use Notes With Couric?

I thought I was the only one who noticed this, but my friends at Gawker also took notice that it looked like Sarah Palin was using notes during her interview with Katie Couric. I understand notes during a speech, a press conference but an pre-arranged interview with Katie Couric. The funny thing is that Palin and her camp already had the questions before again, so they knew exactly wha she would ask. What makes it worse of all is that those were the easiet questions (Hannity does not count)she has been asked yet.

Actually the worse is she needed notes to say what she said.

The Gawker Article:

So. That Couric interview? Didn't seem to instill much confidence in anyone that we're dealing with anything other than a stunt that's gone horribly awry, like suspending a campaign to fix the economy. Like, people who thought she was dumb are shocked at just how dumb. (Or incurious, whatever you want to call it! You can't be a complete idiot and be a successful politician in Alaska, after all.) (That was a joke.) So would it maybe alarm you to know that her insane answers to Katie's pretty standard-issue questions were based off of pre-written notes? That's the contention, anyway, of some DailyKos diarist, whose proof is that Palin appears to look down a couple times. If she did have notes, she sounds like she got them from the dumbest kid in class. Honestly, what did these notes say? "MAKE NO SENSE"??

Mccain Suspends Campaign A Second Time!!

The Mccain camp announced John Mccain was now suspending his campaign a second time to deal with another crisis. Rick Davis, John Mccain's campaign manager said the Senator was headed directly back to his home state of Arizona to deal with an issue he has fought in the past. Word out of Arizona is that construction of a Martin Luther King Blvd was scheduled to begin tommorow. "No way the "Maverick will allow this to happen" says Rick Davis. This is certainly another crisis our fearless Republican leader can handle, we will push back the debates to coincide with election day. That way people can make their choice while in line to vote.

Best Statement From Thursday's Bailout Meetings

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) completely dismissed McCain's role in the meeting, saying that he spoke last, said nothing important and had little to do with the negotiations.

"Anyone in that meeting who tried to understand what John McCain said in that meeting, couldn't" understand whether he supported the deal, Reid said, according to a clip aired on MSNBC. "He didn't say anything substantive. ... He was the last person to talk in that meeting."

The Evil Empire Bullies Again

Steve Doocy hosts of Fox&Friends or Friends&Fox or whatever the hell it's called basically tried to shut up radio host Mike Papantonio when he tried to remind viewers of the keating five scandal John Mccain was involved in. Doocy (Douche) and guest Michael Reagan both worked to shut up Papantonio.

The Million Dollar Question

Can anyone once again, tell me why this woman should be the Vice President of the Great United States? For any member of a political party not to call her a disgrace to this great country is full of shit. This is the first time I have used profanity in my blog but I can no longer hold in my rage of seeing this buffoon being presented to the world. We have already become a laughing stock among countries who we previously were superior economy wise.

After eight years of the economy going from a robust thriving beast, to now a whimpering dog that has been sideswiped by a car we (almost half the nation) the American people are saying we think John Mccain and Sarah Palin are the two people to run this country and raise it back to it's former glory.

I could make a list of things that John Mccain has done or said during this campaign that would lead me not to vote for him, but the deal sealer is easily Sarah Palin

Watch CBS Videos Online

Yes Billy There is a God......Palin Speaks to the Media

A miracle has happened today. No it's not the fact that a deal for the bailout is all but done. It's not even the fact that the DOW at this hour is up over 200+ points. It's that Sarah Palin has actually spoken to the media for the first time since she was announced as the VP republican candidate. Reporters were told 20 minutes ahead of time that, after a visit to ground zero in lower Manhattan, Palin would make a statement and then there would be an opportunity for questions.

Although she only took five questions from the press and only answered four, I think this was a huge step. Not really, she clearly once again was on shaky ground as the Mccain camp finally took their puppet outdoors but still kept the strings attached.

Hear are the transcripts from today:

CNN: On the topic of never letting this happen again, do you agree with the way the Bush administration has handled the war on terrorism, is there anything you would do differently?

A: I agree with the Bush administration that we take the fight to them. We never again let them come onto our soil and try to destroy not only our democracy, but communities like the community of New York. Never again. So yes, I do agree with taking the fight to the terrorists and stopping them over there.

POLITICO: Do you think our presence in Iraq and afghan and our continued presence there is inflaming islamic extremists?

A: I think our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan will lead to further security of our nation, again, because the mission is to take the fight over there. do not let them come over here and attempt again what they accomplished here, and that was some destruction. terrible destruction on that day. but since September 11, Americans uniting and rebuilding and committing to never letting that happen again.

POLITICO: Do you support the reelection bids of embattled Alaska Republicans, Rep. Don Young and Sen. Ted Stevens?

A: Ted Stevens trial started a couple days ago. We’ll see where that goes.

POLITICO: Are you gong to vote for them?

[no answer.]

JERSEY JOURNAL: What do you think of bailout package before congress?

A: I don't support that until the provisions that Sen. McCain has offered are implemented in Paulson's proposals.

Let's Get it On..............The Debates I Mean

All major news networks are reporting that a bailout deal has been reached. With that being said the debates can go forward with no excuses from and no thanks to John Mccain. Of course the President is making things look good by having this unnecessary meeting to solve the crisis. What if this wasn't an election year, what would bush do then?

I could just see Mccain yesterday with his cronies, trying to prepare him for Friday's debates and knowing that the economy topic would probably find it's way in to the foreign policy agenda. Mccain, his staff and the American people know that the economy is not his strong point, so what could they do to postpone this? Make him look like he was the one trying to solve the bailout issue, which in all fairness he has no idea about. Hey I know, let's call Georgie and come up with this plan and make me look good.

It looks like it backfired more than it made him look good. So now the debates will go forward so the American people can hear solutions from our next leader, and not excuses because they are not able to multitask.

Mccain: $5,000 For Makeup and You Still Look Like This

So now we here Sen. John Mccain has his own personal makeup artist to make him look like the star he is. Sam Stein from the Huffington Post has the story on the only male presidential candidate to spend more money on make-up than Sarah Palin.

Palin's Answer to the Reason Why She Was Picked for VP

True Measure of a Leader

In the midst of the war, there was no question that Roosevelt would be renominated. Roosevelt was forced to replace Vice President Henry Wallace, because of his unpopularity, with Harry Truman. The Republicans nominated Thomas Dewey at the their convention in Chicago. For the first time the Republican platform totally abandoned its traditional opposition to involvement in foreign treaties. It supported the United States participation in post war organizations.

This was a very trying time in America. Yet this is no different than any other crisis this nation has faced in the past. We have never allowed any crisis to stop or delay democracy in the past, yet John Mccain wanted to do so yesterday.

Tell me, can the Leader of the free world handle two things at once? I certainly would hope so. The current crisis is the economy. Our current administration got us here and we are on the verge of electing a new one, so wouldn't this be the perfect platform for a leader to show his country he has the answer to their problems.

In this age of transportation you would be looking at a three hour flight from Washington D.C. to Mississippi. That being said a leader would be in Washington on Wednesday afternoon thru Friday morning and on a plane to Mississippi for the debates that evening to inform the American public of the bailout plan, and your plan to improve the economy and ease their fears for the future.

I myself have seen a war hero turn from a "Maverick" into an elderly puppet that is controlled by his campaign cronies and his overall personal selfish desire to become President.

Another Easy Interview Shows That Palin is Inept

Leave it to Katie Couric who most consider the weakest evening anchor on television to bring out the complete inexperience's that Sarah Palin has. This interview right here seals it for me. Sarah Palin absolutely can't handle this position. I'm not sure how she got to be Governor after this one. She can't answer questions, she double talks and continues to huddle under John Mccain for leadership instead of showing some herself.

After watching this, imagine Mccain-palin ticket wins and is in the White House. Six months in Mccain(God Forbid) a debilitating stroke that leaves him unable to perform his duties as President. Can you honestly tell me that you are confident with Sarah Palin being second in command of country when she cannot give a solid interview.

(this proves that she is totally unprepared to serve as VP)

A Game of Chess Begins With the UN and North Korea

North Korea moved closer to restarting its nuclear arms program Wednesday, barring U.N. inspectors from its main plutonium reprocessing plant and announcing it will reactivate the facility that provided the material for its atomic test blast.

Dave Letterman Disses Mccain

Drudge reports that Letterman mocked McCain during the show's taping Wednesday afternoon.

"In the middle of the taping Dave got word that McCain was, in fact just down the street being interviewed by Katie Couric. Dave even cut over to the live video of the interview, and said, "Hey Senator, can I give you a ride home?" Dave was called prior to the taping personally by Mccain and told that he was headed back to Washington to deal with the financial crisis and would not be able to attend his show.

Earlier in the show, Dave kept saying, "You don't suspend your campaign. This doesn't smell right. This isn't the way a tested hero behaves." And he joked: "I think someone's putting something in his metamucil."

"He can't run the campaign because the economy is cratering? Fine, put in your second string quarterback, Sarah Palin. Where is she?"

"What are you going to do if you're elected and things get tough? Suspend being president? We've got a guy like that now!"

Is This Still the Land of Opportunity?

A recnt article from the Wahington Post shows some startiling drops in the number of immigrants coming into the U.S.

By N.C. Aizenman
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, September 23, 2008; Page A19

The number of immigrants coming to the United States slowed substantially in 2007, with the nation's foreign-born population growing by only 511,000, compared with about a million a year since 2000, according to Census figures released today.
In 14 states, the foreign-born population declined, including in such traditional immigrant gateways as New Jersey and Illinois and such newer destinations as Nebraska, South Dakota and Kansas.

The Washington area's immigrant population continued to grow, but much more slowly, increasing by 25,916, compared with average yearly increases of 37,091 since 2000.

Demographers said the data, which were part of a diverse release of social, economic and housing characteristics, reflected the economic slowdown.

Mr. Mccain isn't This Move Just a Political Ploy?

John Mccain announced today he would like to suspend the debates this Friday and halt his campaign till the government can come up with a package to solve our current economic crisis. He has stated that he and his staff will be headed to Washington to help President Bush and Congress resolve this issue. He has also invited Barack Obama and his staff to do the same. “We must pass legislation to address this crisis. If we do not, credit will dry up, with devastating consequences for our economy. People will no longer be able to buy homes and their life savings will be at stake. Businesses will not have enough money to pay their employees. If we do not act, every corner of our country will be impacted. We cannot allow this to happen.”

Barack Obama responded soon afterward by saying, “I believe we should continue to have the debate” on Friday. “Presidents are going to have to deal with more than one thing at a time,” the Democratic candidate said. “It’s not necessary for us to think that we can only do one thing and suspend everything else.” He said that he and McCain have large campaign planes that can get them out of Mississippi and back to Washington quickly.Obama said he spoke earlier in the day with McCain, who suggested that they suspend the debate.

“I thought this was something that he was mulling over. Apparently this was something he was more decisive about in his own mind,” Obama said in a press conference in Florida, where he has been preparing for the debate.

If Mccain was sincere in what he was trying to do I would say bravo, but I do not believe that is the case. Obama's response was exactly what I hoping it would be. Being President is not handling one situation or crisis at a time. If Wall Street was collapsing and a war was brewing would America want our President to say he is going to focus on one of those issues until it's taken care of and then handle the next one? No the responsibility of a leader is great. He is the head of a nation and we look for him to handle crisis and issues as they come, however they come.

Racism and Idiocary Continues With Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh has got to be the biggest racist in the media today. He made a statement trying to tie Barack Obama to Arab and Muslim background vs. being just African American. First what he is trying to do is tie him somehow to terrorism and second he makes it seem like being Arab is wrong. He needs to learn that the term African American means you are of African decent but born in America. Which Obama is both.

Campbell Brown Gives it to the Mccain Camp

Check out Ms. Brown give the Mccain camp America's frustration with them on how accessible Sarah Palin is with the Media. She has had two interviews which were controlled. Charlie Gibson's interview which she blew even with ABC giving her the questions in advance. Then Sean Hannity had his love fest with her, with absolutely no challenging questions at all.

Reporters Cry Foul During Palin's Visit to New York

The news media finally spoke out today at the fact that Mccain-Palin camp at first refused access to Sarah Palin's meeting with World Leaders. It outraged the networks so that they threated to pull tv cameras from covering her visit period if they were not allowed access.

The response from the Mccain camp of course was that it was all a misunderstanding. Once allowed in the room with Palin and President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan on Tuesday afternoon, the polite preliminaries to their conversation centered around children, as Mr. Karzai spoke of the birth of his first child last year.

What is his name?" Ms. Palin was heard to ask, as she met with Mr. Karzai in the suite of a midtown hotel, according to a pool report.

"Mirwais," Mr. Karzai replied. "Mirwais, which means, 'The Light of the House.'"

Wow, she is good

Warren Buffet Helping Out the Economy

Billionaire Warren Buffet's company Berkshire Hathaway is investing $5 billion dollars in Goldman Sachs in an atempt to boost confidence on Wall Street.

Goldman (GS, Fortune 500) will sell $5 billion of preferred stock to the insurance and investment giant, which will also receive warrants to purchase $5 billion of common stock with a strike price of $115 per share, the company announced Tuesday. Berkshire (BRKA, Fortune 500) has five years to exercise the warrants. Buffett will be paid a 10% dividend on his shares.

"Goldman Sachs is an exceptional institution," said Buffett in a statement. "It has an unrivaled global franchise, a proven and deep management team and the intellectual and financial capital to continue its track record of outperformance."

Way to go Warren!

Democrats Allow Drilling Ban to Lapse

The debate is over. The Democratic party will allow long standing band on offshore drilling to expire next week. I for one am glad. Now we get to see this big plan to lower the oil prices in action. Mccain has touted that this plan will help to lower the prices even though experts have said it would take about fifth teen years to see any effect.

The Interior Department estimates there are 18 billion barrels of recoverable oil beneath coastal waters now off-limits.

Let's see if his works

Ahmadinejad Says "American Empire Nearing it's End"

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke at the U.N today, and the topic of conversation was the great United States. He blamed the U.S. for the problems going on in the world today. "As long as the aggressors, because of their financial, political and propaganda powers, not only escape punishment, but even claim righteousness, and as long as wars are started and nations are enslaved in order to win votes in elections, not only will the problems of the global community remain unsolved, but they will be increasingly exacerbated," the Iranian leader said.

He accused the United States of oppressing Iraqis with six years of occupation, saying Americans were "still seeking to solidify their position in the political geography of the region and to dominate oil resources."

Meanwhile, he said, Palestinians have undergone "60 years of carnage and invasion ... at the hands of some criminal and occupying Zionists."

He said Zionists in Israel "have forged a regime through collecting people from various parts of the world and bringing them to other people's land, by displacing, detaining and killing the true owners of that land."

The Security Council, he said, "cannot do anything, and sometimes under pressure from a few bullying powers, even paves the way for supporting these Zionist murders."

He stopped short of calling for Israel to be politically wiped off the map as he has in the past. He called for "a free referendum in Palestine for determining and establishing the type of state in the entire Palestinian lands."

Although Ahmadinejad has a few screws loose, and makes a lot of idle threats, that is all they are. If the U.S. Government follows anything this guy does we will end up worse than the Iraq war. This would put us on the verge of world war III. Russia, China, North Korea are all allies with Iran.

If we keep playing with fire we just might get burnt. The first response for us needs to stop being to strike and invade. We poke our nose in an issue when it is in our best interest only. I love this country too much for our Government to continue to do things in the interest of a few and to continue to spread lies for their own agenda. It has become ridiculous.

Being a patriot has nothing to do with joining the military, owning a gun, having a flag outside your house or agreeing with everything the President tell us. Until we understand that democracy means freedom not following what we our told we will continue to have leaders like Ahmadinejad rejoicing in our demise. Some people won't agree........so be it.

Racism Comes in All Colors

A Local Hispanic GOP Republican leader is being hammered right now because of some idiotic comments made about Barack Obama and the Mexican voters. Fernando C' de Baca, who heads the GOP in Bernalillo County, was quoted by BBC reporter Jon Kelly on Friday saying "The truth is that Hispanics came here as conquerors. African-Americans came here as slaves. ... Hispanics consider themselves above blacks. They won't vote for a black president." Hispanic voters in New Mexico are outraged at the comments saying de Baca does not speak for them.

Political blogger Peter St. Cyr told KOAT News in Albuquerque that de Baca had phoned him on Saturday evening to apologize for the remarks, insisting they were taken out of context and represented something his grandfather had told him 60 years ago.

The chairman of the New Mexico Republican Party, Allen Weh, told KOAT News in Albuquerque that "the comments were inappropriate, they were offensive to a lot of people" and stated that de Baca needs to step down for the good of the party.

The funny thing is I respect this guy more than other racist who hide and act like they are not. Call me a nigger to my face, at least I know who I'm dealing with.

Palin Skipping Fundraisers to Get Some Credintials

The already top foreign affairs specialist is forgoing some fundraising gatherings so she can do some cramming for the upcoming debate. She will meeting some of the world's foreign leaders at the U.N. for the Nations General Assembly. This will be an opportunity for the leaders of the world to get some insight into the great mind of Sarah Palin.

The Mccain camp has prepared Palin for her big city visit by letting her watch films that were made in New York so she won't freak out too much. Ghostbusters, Annie Hall, Sex & City and Serpico are just some of the films she will be watching.

But seriously folks this just continues to show America hoe inept this woman is when it comes to experience. I'm glad a woman made it this far and it is a great thing for women's lib, but this is just not the right woman. When Mccain and crew have to shove you in front of world leaders before the debate to try to add some stuff on an already thin resume is pathetic.

Don't Think Gobal Warming Is Not Real

Think Mccain and Palin will care about global warming if they get in office. The only thing they will like is that there is less ice, which mean they could go drill up there in the North Pole.

It's getting scary folks. We keep ignoring the problem like it will go away. What we fail to realize is how much the Norh Pole effects the rest of the Earth's climate for humans and all other creatures. Polar bears have resorted to cannibalism because there is no food for them.

No big deal will just wait till a catastrophe comes like in the movies, and then will send a team of five people to save the world.....easy.

(You Can't Deny This is Not Happening)

NRA Lies About Obama's Stand on Guns

The gun crazy folks at the NRA are scared to death that Obama will win, so they have $15 million dollar ad campaign solely dedicated to smear Barack Obama. E-mails, pamphlets, and TV ads are making unsubstantiated claims that Obama plans to ban use of firearms for home defense, ban possession and manufacture of handguns, close 90 percent of gun shops and ban hunting ammunition.

(From FactCheck.org)

Much of what the NRA passes off as Obama's "10 Point Plan to 'Change' the Second Amendment" is actually contrary to what he has said throughout his campaign: that he "respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms" and "will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport, and use guns."

The NRA, however, simply dismisses Obama's stated position as "rhetoric" and substitutes its own interpretation of his record as a secret "plan." Said an NRA spokesman: "We believe our facts."

Perhaps so, but believing something doesn't make it so. And we find the NRA has cherry-picked, twisted and misrepresented Obama's record to come up with a bogus "plan." (FactCheck.org)

I myself have no problem with hunters, business owners, home owners & and anyone without a criminal record owning a gun. I myself am not a big fan but have no problem with those that want them. My thing is why do they need a AK-47 for hunting, or a Uzi for the house, or what about armour piercing bullets for everyday use. That's where the problem lies. We end up having gang members and drug dealers out gunning Police Officers and killing kids on the street.

The flier looks almost as though it comes from the Obama campaign. It uses the same color and font scheme as well as the campaign's sunrise logo. And on some points it is right; Obama has called for national legislation against carrying concealed firearms, and he would revive and make permanent the expired ban on semi-automatic "assault weapons," for example. On other points it exaggerates. Obama has spoken in favor of government registration of handguns, for example, but has not called for registration of all "firearms" including hunting rifles and shotguns. But the TV spots and fliers also make claims that are directly contrary to what Obama actually says about guns.

Mccain's Response To The Media for a Press Conference With Sarah Palin

ONE DAY SENATOR....ONE DAY

One More Time About That Bridge

EPA Says it's Okay for Rocket Fuel in Drinking Water

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Environmental Protection Agency has decided there's no need to rid drinking water of a toxic rocket fuel ingredient that has fouled public water supplies around the country.

EPA reached the conclusion in a draft regulatory document not yet made public but reviewed Monday by The Associated Press.

The ingredient, perchlorate, has been found in at least 395 sites in 35 states at levels high enough to interfere with thyroid function and pose developmental health risks, particularly for babies and fetuses, according to some scientists.

The EPA document says that mandating a clean-up level for perchlorate would not result in a "meaningful opportunity for health risk reduction for persons served by public-water systems."

Several people turned her down, police said, and she shot the last man who did so.

There was some sort of conversation between the man and the woman, Sgt. Matt Young said.A witness told KCRA 3 that the man first told the panhandler "no," and then said, "get a job."

The 54-year-old victim was shot once in the stomach and taken to the UC Davis Medical Center for surgery.

The woman tried to fire twice but was unsuccessful, police said. She aimed the second time at his head, a witness told KCRA 3.

After she fired the shot, the suspect got onto a bus a few blocks away and left the area, Regional Transit officials said.

She was detained before 5 p.m. and taken into custody after being questioned in a Target store parking lot at Broadway and Riverside Boulevard. Police said she had a gun in her purse.

The woman was taken to the Sacramento County Jail.

Funny UFO Sighting

BLACKPOOL - England - Mysterious objects were seen flying over Blackpool pier on Monday according to eyewitness accounts. Tue, 27 May 2008 20:02:00 GMT by Rupert Murdhack
Johnson Phuckah from Blackpool got in contact by email this week with this startling photograph which appears to show a suspected UFO in the Pier area of Blackpool.

He writes - "I am writing to see if you would be interested in a picture which was taken on my mobile phone yesterday (Monday, 26/5/08). It was taken whilst walking on the pier itself. I realised that there seemed to be an unusual object in the sky and decided to take a picture. On examination it seems to be a saucer-like object flying not far above the pier over the sea."

He wonders if anyone else saw it? Perhaps there was one of those hot air balloons in the vicinity . . .

Mccain Camp Experts on the Fannie & Freddy Collapse

By David D. Kirkpatrick and Charles Duhigg

updated 1:56 a.m. CT, Mon., Sept. 22, 2008

Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.

Mr. McCain, the Republican candidate for president, has recently begun campaigning as a critic of the two companies and the lobbying army that helped them evade greater regulation as they began buying riskier mortgages with implicit federal backing. He and his Democratic rival, Senator Barack Obama, have donors and advisers who are tied to the companies.

But last week the McCain campaign stepped up a running battle of guilt by association when it began broadcasting commercials trying to link Mr. Obama directly to the government bailout of the mortgage giants this month by charging that he takes advice from Fannie Mae’s former chief executive, Franklin Raines, an assertion both Mr. Raines and the Obama campaign dispute.

The Criminal Mastermind Behind Palin E-Mail Hacking

From Wired:

FBI agents executed a search warrant Sunday at the apartment of University of Tennessee student David Kernell in connection with the hack of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's private Yahoo account.

According to a witness, two FBI agents arrived at Kernell's Knoxville apartment in The Commons student housing complex shortly after midnight on Sunday morning, interrupting a party.

Kernell and some of his friends reportedly fled when agents arrived, though the local TV station that reported the raid is a bit unclear about this detail. Other reports suggest he may have simply been upstairs with friends when the agents came. FBI agents asked partygoers who did not live in the apartment to wait outside while they photographed the residence.

Pakistan Fires on U.S. Helicopter

The Associated Press reporting:

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Two local intelligence officials say troops and tribesman opened fire when two U.S. helicopters crossed into Pakistan from Afghanistan.

Pakistan's army and the U.S. military in Afghanistan said they had no information on the alleged incident late Sunday in North Waziristan.

The two intelligence officials spoke on condition of anonymity Monday because they were not authorized to speak to media. They cited field informants.

A spate of U.S. crossborder operations — including a ground assault that used helicopters to ferry American commandos — has prompted official Pakistani protests in recent weeks.

The U.S. is concerned that pockets of Pakistan's northwest have turned into bases for Al Qaeda and Taliban militants.

White America I'm Speaking to You

Vote Obama

Why is it that you don't like? What is it that bothers you so? Why so much hate? I wonder what it is about minorities in this country, especially Blacks that some whites have so much disdain and negative thinking. With so many great black leaders and educators, doctors, lawyers, etc do we still have so much small minded thinking.

It's easy nowadays for Whites to call out that blacks are playing the race card again and again, but when you have experience racism over and over it hard to distinguish one from the other. Many of you don't get passed over for a job just because you name sounds black or just because you are. Many of you have not been pulled over and harassed, or been called out of your name. Many of you have never had to sit on the back of the bus, or be threaten not to vote for a certain candidate. Many of you have not had trouble tracing your family history because it only can go back so far. You have never been awakened and found a cross burning on your families lawn. You have never had your face beaten in to where your family cannot recognize you simply because you whistled at a white woman. You have never been tied to a back of a truck and dragged down a road to where your flesh was ripped from your body, just because you were black. These examples have all happened over the past fifty years and as recently as this year.

There are stories from the news networks stating that the race for president is so close when it should not be. Eight years of the economy being dragged down, five years in Iraq, joblessness at an all time high, mortgage fore closers everywhere that the democratic party should at least be six points higher in the polls than they are. Why is that?

It's easy, race. Some white Americans have no problem saying either. "I'm an old southern boy.......so I just can't see a black man being able to do the job." Yes some are that bold. Then there are other who are cowards and won't say anything and could care less if Mccain would say he will make sure to be ten times worse than Bush as long as he's white.

Patriotism is big in the United States. Why then when know that Obama is the better of the two candidates do some white people put their prejudice ahead of America? Please White America tell me this, please.

Palin Continues to Hide Behind Mccain

The Alaskan newspaper the Anchorage Daily News is reporting that Gov. Sarah Palin has surrendered important gubernatorial duties to the Republican presidential campaign. I thought that was the Lt. Governor's job. The people of Alaska did not hire Mccain's people to run her office. They seem to continue to hide her from everything. She is seeming less like this strong outspoken "maverick" and more totally nescient to her job.  Let's see how long she continues to hide behind Mccain.

Barack Drags Mccain off to the Old Folks Home

Barack Obama tired off the crap he has had to put up with during the campaign basically said "I've had enough of this shit." He met with Mccain in an undisclosed location and dragged him off and put him into a black van that drove off. Mccain's wife seems pleased to see him leave, as she can now become a full time cougar. No word on who will be replacing Mccain for the election. Sarah Palin has now gone back to Wasilla and now vows to build that bridge.
