Conservatives Love Their Porn

Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, Catholic priest, Senator Larry Graig and Senator David Vitter are just some of the more notable conservatives who love their pornography. It's always the ones who speak out against immoral actions the most that are the biggest consumers of immoral acts.

At least liberals don't pretend not to like porn.......they love it!

Americans may paint themselves in increasingly bright shades of red and blue, but new research finds one thing that varies little across the nation: the liking for online pornography.

A new nationwide study (pdf) of anonymised credit-card receipts from a major online adult entertainment provider finds little variation in consumption between states.

"When it comes to adult entertainment, it seems people are more the same than different," says Benjamin Edelman at Harvard Business School.

However, there are some trends to be seen in the data. Those states that do consume the most porn tend to be more conservative and religious than states with lower levels of consumption, the study finds.

Troops Speak on Obama After His Speech

President Obama announced the withdrawal of most U.S. troops from Iraq by August 2010 in Camp Lejuene, NC. After Obama’s speech, the AP interviewed several soldiers at the military base. While conservatives have long insisted that service members do not want to withdraw from Iraq, the troops interviewed heaped praise on Obama’s military agenda and the withdrawal timetable:

Conservatives Have More Mascots Than Leaders

The 2008 presidential election was a serious blow to the republican party. The conservative movement took a serious injury to their identity to the point they still licking their wounds.

So currently instead of their elected officials being out in front and leading the way, the reins of power have shifted to individuals who have no future aspirations in the world of politics.

I find it laughable that Joe "the non-plumber" Wurzelbacher still has a audience and gets invited to advise young republicans. "Back in the day, really, when people would talk about our military in a poor way, somebody would shoot ‘em. And there’d be nothing said about that, because they knew it was wrong. You don’t talk about our troops. You support our troops. Especially when our congressmen and senators sit there and say bad things in an ongoing conflict."

These were this man's exact words. Some nutjob would interpret what he is saying is that anyone who elects to use free speech and speak out against the war should be shot, nice. The worst part is people found what he said funny.

Last month, he said that journalists shouldn’t “be anywhere allowed war.” “I think media should be abolished from, uh, you know, reporting,” he said.

Then of course you have Rush Limbaugh. He makes no qualms about wanting president Obama's policies to fail. Not one of his policies he wants to succeed. Some of those policies include, the stimulus package, the war in Afghanistan and his approach to the war on terror. But ask any conservative and Rush is a patriot.

Every republican leader walks on eggshells when it comes to Rush Limbaugh. They literally fear him, yes a radio talk show host has the most political power in the GOP.

Then we have Michael Steele, the guy who wants to make the RNC "off the hook."

”There was underlying concerns we had become too regionalized and the party needed to reach beyond our comfort” zones, he said, citing defeats in such states as Virginia and North Carolina. “We need messengers to really capture that region - young, Hispanic, black, a cross section ... We want to convey that the modern-day GOP looks like the conservative party that stands on principles. But we want to apply them to urban-suburban hip-hop settings.”

So in order to attract Black and Hispanics, you need to have a hip-hop environment, how insulting is that? They may be right, all those hip-hop concerts Obama threw really helped him.

Lastly, even though there are many more, you have Alan Keyes. He may no longer be a member of the republican party, but he shares their view enough for them to have had him run against Obama for his first senate seat.

"Obama is a radical communist and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it is coming true," said Keyes who ran unsuccessfully against Obama for the Senate in 2004. "He is going to destroy this country and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist," said Keyes.

This a man the republican party once supported to be a leader in our United States senate.

Who can forget about Ann Coulter? All her books always on the bestseller list. The conservative party loves her. "She speaks the truth", they say. Let's look at some of the "Great Stick's" most memorable words:

  • I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East and sending liberals to Guantanamo.
  • Taxes are like abortion, and not just because both are grotesque procedures supported by Democrats. You're for them or against them. Taxes go up or down; government raises taxes or lowers them. But Democrats will not let the words abortion or tax hikes pass their lips.
  • Not all Muslims may be terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims.
  • A question on reparations has got to be confusing when you're half-white and half-black. What do you do? Demand an apology for slavery and money from yourself? I guess biracial reparations would involve sending yourself money, then sending back a portion of that money to yourself, minus 50 percent in processing fees — which is the same way federal aid works.
  • They're [Democrats] always accusing us of repressing their speech. I say let's do it. Let's repress them. Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the First Amendment.
  • I'd build a wall. In fact, I'd hire illegal immigrants to build the wall. And throw out the illegals who are here. [...] It's cheap labor.
With her I could go on and on with more lovable quotes. Instead of being criticized or her comments condemned, you read blogs and conservative sites that have headlines like "Coulter Rips 'em again" or " Ann Coulter Shows Them Who's Boss." With idiotic quote after quote with her, you think she would not be taken seriously by her party. Unfortunately she is invited to every conservative gather that's scheduled.

In my mind's eye, I can see Ronald Reagan, wearing wings and a Stetson, perched on a cloud and watching all the goings-on down here in his old earthly home. Laughing, rolling his eyes and whacking his forehead over the absurdities he sees, he's watching his old political party as it twists itself into ever more complex knots, punctuated only by pauses to invoke the Gipper's name. It's been said that God would be amazed by what his followers ascribe to him; believe me, Reagan would be similarly amazed by what his most fervent admirers cite in their desire to be seen as true-blue Reaganites. (Mickey Edwards L.A. Times Jan. 24th 2009)

Where are the Ronald Reagan's of the party? Where are those leaders who have ideas instead of attacks? Are you telling me that if Reagan were alive today, this party that is currently the GOP, he would be proud to be a part of it?

If That Speech Wasn't Bad Enough, Jindal Admits Katrina Story Was False

(Can you guess which guy is the republican governor of Louisiana?)

Poor Booby.........I mean Bobby can't catch a break. After both political parties called his republican response to president Obama's speech to congress pathetic, he now has had to admit a heroic story about he and Sheriff Harry Lee during the Katrina catastrophe was not entirely truthful.

He had said during the speech that he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with a local sheriff who was battling government red tape to try to rescue stranded victims?

But now, a Jindal spokeswoman has admitted to Politico that in reality, Jindal overheard Lee talking about the episode to someone else by phone "days later." The spokeswoman said she thought Lee, who died in 2007, was being interviewed about the incident at the time.

Poor Bobby can't catch a break can he?

Black Chicago Alderman Take Up for Liar Burris

I voted for Burris before when he was a state official and his years of service to my state were as far as a know were honest. But looking at the means he went to gain the senate seat he currently holds has diminished the respect I once held for him.

By not being upfront and honest about his dealings with Blagojevich is unacceptable and his reasoning for not speaking up is even more ridiculous.

Yes Roland Burris is currently the only Black United States senator that this country has, but does that mean he gets a free pass on dishonesty? Black leaders in Chicago I am speaking to you. Is this how we want our children to view the world? Because we are a minority it is okay to break the rules because we can protest and keep are jobs because we a rare in a certain field.

Why can't I steal something at work and get caught and say, I am the only minority here so............. I should get a pass?

CHICAGO - Some Chicago aldermen say calls for Sen. Roland Burris' resignation are unfair and politically motivated.

Members of the City Council's Black Caucus held a news conference Thursday to defend Burris, the nation's only black senator.

It was one of the most public displays of support since controversy erupted over whether Burris lied about the circumstances of his appointment by former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

The ousted governor is accused of trying to sell the seat. Burris recently revealed that he tried, unsuccessfully, to raise money for Blagojevich.

Sixth Ward Alderman Freddrenna (fred-REHN'-uh) Lyle says calls for Burris' resignation are unfair because white politicians have not been similarly targeted after accusations of wrongdoing.

Admirer of Obama's Sends Him & Staff HIV Infected Blood

How do you show the president that you like him? Why you send him you HIV infected blood in the mail, that's how. Someone needs to explain to Saad Hussein that when we are a fan of someone here in the United States we don't try to kill them with Aids blood, kindness maybe, but not blood:

A Chicago man has been arrested for allegedly sending President Barack Obama and his staff envelopes containing HIV-infected blood in the hopes of killing or causing harm to them. A spokesman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said that this is only the second time that HIV-infected blood has been sent with malicious intent through the U.S. mail system.

According to court documents, Saad Hussein, an Ethopian refugee in his late 20's, sent an envelope addressed to Barack Obama to offices of the Illinois government in Springfield, Illinois in the week's leading up to his inauguration. Contained in the envelope was a letter with red stains, and an admission ticket for Obama's election night celebration in Chicago's Grant Park.

Court documents reveal that Hussein.....

President Who Will See The End of the War Calls The President Who Saw The Beginning

I thought this was a nice move by president Obama calling ol' George to let him know what his move will be in ending the Iraq war that started in Bush's first term and will end in Obama's first. Once the elections are over, I know it becomes a different story with men like Bush and Obama. Politics are set aside for their bond that is being former and current leaders of the free world:

By Anne E. Kornblut

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Before announcing his plan for withdrawing troops from Iraq, President Obama made an intriguing courtesy call on Friday morning: to former president George W. Bush, who began the war that Obama has so vehemently opposed.

White House officials did not elaborate on the call, which Obama placed from a holding room at Camp Lejeune just moments before he gave his long-awaited speech. Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, said Obama made the call "as a courtesy" to the former president.

Earlier in the day, aboard Air Force One, Obama called another interested party, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki. The Iraqi prime minister had already declared that he was unconcerned about the troop withdrawals, which will leave about 50,000 U.S. troops in place even after the bulk of the forces leave in August of 2010.

Obama is delivering his address to thousands of service members here.

Former CIA official Kyle Foggo sentenced to more than 3 years in prison for fraud

The freakin former number three guy at the CIA sells out the country for gifts from buddies and sex from his mistress. I wonder what else this guy sold out for? :

A
former high-ranking CIA official has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for a fraud scheme in which he steered procurement contracts to an old friend.

The 37-month sentence for Kyle "Dusty" Foggo, who held the CIA's No. 3 rank from 2004 to 2006, matched prosecutors' recommendations. He pleaded guilty to a single count of fraud.

Defense lawyers had argued for probation and cited Foggo's good deeds over two decades with the CIA, many of which remain classified.

Prosecutors said Foggo received tens of thousands of dollars worth of lavish gifts and vacations in exchange for helping his old friend, contractor Brent Wilkes, obtain no-bid contracts.

They also say Foggo forced the CIA to hire his mistress for a six-figure job for which she was unqualified.

Who Has a Problem With Fallen Soldiers Photos?

With Robert Gates speaking on this as I write this entry, I have absolutely no problem with this. The conservative side has voiced the most opposition with the media being allowed to photograph the coffins of our fallen soldiers.

Now it will be up to the families if they want their family members to photographed. If it is the wishes of the family to allow this, what opposition should anyone else have?

The biggest argument that the opposition has is that it will be used by those who oppose war as some type of picturesque campaign. But isn't that what they died for, free speech? Whether or not you agree with how they use the pictures, that is one of the things that makes this country great, we can speak out against our government without censorship.

When a soldier comes home in a coffin, he or she is no longer the property of the United States government, but they are once again the children of parents who will honor them as they wish.

Which is it? Obama is Hitler or the AntiChrist

The funny thing about this video from Jon Stewart's Daily Show is that both of these guys (Rev. Daniel W. Blair & Pastor James David Manning) are real and there is still a lot of people that believe this. All i can do is sit back and laugh and laugh and laugh.............and laugh.........

The key part of the the segment, though, is the main stream media's coverage of these men and their "theories." Sean Hannity even invited Manning on his show to discuss his Hitler comparison.

Gov. Pawlenty Unveils Highway Project Funded by Stimulus Bill He Spoke Out Against

Real quick, I have no problem with you speaking out on the parts of the stimulus that you may not agree with, but don't come out acting like you are responsible for creating 5,0o0 jobs and improving infrastructure.

I was so tired of hearing republicans constantly criticize the stimulus package from the Obama administration that was voted by the majority of Americans because they agreed with their ideas. This is why the republican approval numbers continue to dwindle. All they could do was give 99.9% negative remarks about the stimulus and .1 positive:

Gov. Tim Pawlenty this morning unveiled a list of 60 transportation projects in outstate Minnesota worth an estimated $180 million that will be financed by money from the federal stimulus bill.

Minnesota is expected to receive more than $596 million for state and local highway and transit projects over the next two years as a result of the federal legislation.

The Federal Highway Administration estimates that the outstate transportation projects will create approximately 5,000 jobs. Projects in the Twin Cities metro area will be announced later in March; the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Metropolitan Council are working on that list.

The projects announced.....

Of Course Black Folks Love Watermelon!!

(There will be no Easter Egg hunts at the White House this year)

While I know their are plenty of racist out there that can stand the fact that the world's most powerful man is now African-American, I honestly don't believe that this mayor in California who sent out an e-mail from his personal account is one of them.

I have face plenty of racism throughout my life, some directed at me and I have been a witness to others getting the same ignorance directed in their direction.

I am willing to chalk this one up to what I call the Archie Bunker syndrome. Simply explained as one who is used to his own circle of same friends, neighborhood and family compiled of the same race. These folks are easily caught up in stereotypes that have been passed along for decades. They may say something totally inappropriate but had no idea it was wrong or not that bad.

However I have no idea why you would find this picture funny if you did not know the stereotype about Blacks and watermelons. Besides that it's no big deal to me, ignorance just means that the person does not know any better, and what do I care, I love watermelon! Sho iz good!

UPDATE: Mayor Grose has announced his resignation. He now admits it was in poor taste, but still says he did not know about the stereotype, makes no sense to me.

FOX News: Bobby Jindal's Speech Bombs

Wow! Fox News was not fair and balanced as usual, but this time it was against the republican party. Bobby Jindal's speech was ripped apart by the panel.

I was surprised. I was not expecting much from him, but I thought he did okay. The guy is only 37 years old and I am sure this was probably the biggest speech he has made, so in my opinion he did fine, see I can be fair & balanced too.

The Fox News panelists, who are traditionally conservatives’ most gentle critics:

BRIT HUME: “The speech read a lot better than it sounded. This was not Bobby Jindal’s greatest oratorical moment.”

NINA EASTON: “The delivery was not exactly terrific.”

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: “Jindal didn’t have a chance. He follows Obama, who in making speeches, is in a league of his own. He’s in a Reagan-esque league. … [Jindal] tried the best he could.”

JUAN WILLIAMS: “It came off as amateurish, and even the tempo in which he spoke was sing-songy. He was telling stories that seemed very simplistic and almost childish.”

ThinkProgress has compiled some lowlights of Jindal’s speech, along with the reactions of the Fox panel. Watch it:

Of course Rush Limbaugh wanted to protect Jindal from criticism:

David Brooks: Jindal's response was "unfortunate," "insane," and "a disaster":

GOP Senator Who Frequented Prostitutes Says Burris Should Resign

"No matter how long ago it was I know this has hurt the relationship of trust I have with so many of you," said Vitter, whose wife, Wendy, stood beside him. "I'm completely responsible and I'm so very, very sorry."

This was a statement from of course from United States Senator David Vitter of the state of Louisiana. I am guessing because he was very, very sorry it's okay for him to past judgment on Roland Burris who is accused of perjury for not being forthright with conversations between himself and former Rod Blagojevich of Illinois and his staff and family.

Let's balance out the two, one senator who purposely withheld information for fear of not getting a senate seat vs. another senator who paid illegally several prostitutes for over a decade, while raising a family and being married while portraying himself as a conservative christian republican who is someone the public can trust.

Now I am not saying Burris should not step down (he should), but David Vitter is the last person that should be telling a fellow senator to step down because he did wrong.

Vitter's response to sounding hypocritical concerning his past scandal, "I honestly don't know anybody who would compare these situations," he told The Hill on Tuesday. "They are dramatically different."

One of Vitter's prostitutes speaks:

Bi-Partisan Pork Spending for 2009, Politicians are All Crooks!

The war at the podium is nothing like what goes on behind the scenes. Both democrats and republicans have joined together to look out for special interests groups instead of the American people. The House Appropriations Committee just posted its $410 billion 2009 Omnibus spending bill.

This is why I have been so hard on the republicans lately for their blatant hypocrisy. At least democrats have been lately up front in being frivolous spenders. When it comes to wasteful spending I have no party.

At this current juncture in our country, this is the one time when congress should have put aside their own political aspirations and future re-elections. But as usual, politicians have shown that lying is the one thing you can believe they will do.

Third Times a Charm: Commerce Pick Gary Locke

Let's hope we get it right this time. Asian American and former governor of Washington state, Gary Locke. It has not been formerly announced and I am sure his name has been put out there to see the response to the pick.

Hopefully this one works out well. Although he is a democrat, he is a fiscal conservative which should please republicans. Check out a bio of the former governor here.

Gov. Mark Sanford Offers Prayers Instead of Stimulus Help

After years of frivolous spending by politicians in both parties, the party of fiscal responsibility is back in full form now that it benefits them.

The governor of South Carolina, Mark Sanford offers a caller his prayers instead of the financial assistance from the stimulus package. By the look of his state's unemployment rate and poverty, I would have to say this must be Sanford's first prayer for his state.

Sanford offered no other alternative solution for his constituent and instead argued that the state could not accept money to extend unemployment benefits because “increasing the tax on unemployment insurance” would negatively “impact the caller’s family” (although he didn’t say how).

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) — who sponsored an amendment to the stimulus bill that would allow state legislatures to “accept stimulus funding over the objections of conservative governors” — chastised Sanford on MSNBC this morning. “This program is an opportunity for Governor Sanford to target” the “chronically unemployed” and “chronically sick” communities in South Carolina. “I have got to believe that he is willing…to help these communities,” Clyburn said, asking,”Why won’t he?”

Charlie Crist The Newest Democrat

Posted by Sam Stein, Huffington Post

In a half-hour segment on "Meet the Press" on Sunday, the varying threads of the GOP political id came into sharp contrast. On one side sat Charlie Crist, the moderate governor of the state of Florida, who not only openly campaigned for the president's stimulus package but also sent some very public plaudits the Obama's way.

"I think there is a national leader, his name is President Obama," he told host David Gregory when asked if his own party had national leaders. "The people elected him. And I'm willing to give him a good shot and try to help make this work. We're in a tough time, as we talked about before. I think we do need to be bipartisan. We need to be, in fact, nonpartisan. We're all Americans. Our country is at a dire point and we need to do everything we can to work together to get America through this."

Pressed as to whether he thought "the president has the right prescription to ease this recession," the Florida Republican replied, without pausing: "I think he's on the right track." Asked if he thought it was a mistake for "the Republican Party to define itself by opposition to the stimulus," he said: "It may be."

CRIST: "You shouldn't be the party of no. Well, there's a time to say no. But I think you need to be a party that works across the aisle, where you participate. Both [Republicans and Democrats] have to do that. I think it's important for both Democrats and Republicans to work together for Americans."

W's New Library Will be Bigger Than Dad's

Well George W. Bush wants to leave his mark as president. The plans for his library in his name will be twice the size of dear ol' dad's. 207,000 square feet is the size of the plan library, that is roughly the size of a Wal-Mart store.

Sounds like someone is trying to compensate for something else. Some of the books reported to be on the shelves are "I go to the potty too", "Green eggs & Ham", "Mommy said don't touch me there", "Presidency for Dummies" and of course "Curious George goes to Washington."

Conservatives Are Clueless

Fred Barnes of Fox News speaking about the recent interview Bristol Palin gave last week. Talking about the statement that Palin made regarding that abstinence is not realistic, Barnes turns around and said what she actually is saying is that it is.

As much as we want our kids to wait till marriage, in today's world it is one of the hardest teat for a teenager to remain a virgin. I like many other teens fail victim either to my own desires and curiosities or gave in to peer pressures to explore the new world of sex.

My father told me like this, "sex is the best feeling you can have, but if you do it now it can also cause the worst pain because you lose your youth and instantly become an adult with a life who counts on you to live, you make the decision." "Ten minutes of pleasure for a lifetime of responsibility."

I chose the pleasure, but lucky no kids until I was an adult.

Abstinence is at best the last resort for teens nowadays, I know it's sad but it's reality. No matter how much you want to shield your child from sex at an early age, not teaching them about the pitfalls and how to protect themselves is the same as giving a crackhead a rock and telling him not to smoke it because it's bad for them.

GOP Governors Continue Their 2012 Pose

It is undeniable that the governors that are threatening to reject this money are only grandstanding for future runs for higher political office. It is no surprise that the governors who are talking about not accepting the help are the ones that are on a list of potential presidential candidates for 2012.

They use the words principle and wasteful for reasons why they would not accept certain funds from the stimulus. "It will hurt our future generations, they will be burdened with this." That is absolutely correct. The more we spend the more stress and debt we add to our bottom line. Why are they waiting till now to care about spending after you could care less up until now?

Now is not the time to jump on your high horse and preach restraint. Every single politician in office is partly responsible for where we currently are. I did not see one GOP member up in arms over the billions that have been wasted in Iraq. I am not talking about the war itself but the billions that has literally disappeared from record. Many of them drive foreign cars, invest in overseas stocks and buy foreign made products for themselves and their family. They bill taxpayers for items that average Americans pay for out of their own pocket.

Each of these governors have several pet projects that to many are considered a complete joke. When the state of Louisiana has earmarks for fishing tournaments and tennis courts, this is nothing but political pork.

An array of organizations are in line for cash, too. The United Christian Music and Video Association will get $150,000 for a "business development program." The Tipitina's Foundation is slated to receive $400,000 to "support Louisiana's music community." STAR Boot Camp in Caddo Parish will get $300,000. The Dryades Street Young Men's Christian Association is in line for $650,000. The Community Foundation of Acadiana will receive $500,000.

Republicans have not been the best at money management over the last eight years. Six with them in total power. Our deficit has almost doubled with the help of the republican congress passing each of Bush's policies. he could not have passed them by his self could he?

After eight years of tremendous spending, now republicans want to take a stand when it will benefit them politically, pathetic.
